Last Friday I said goodbye to Cooper. He was an amazing friend to me but also a complicated dog. At first, timid and afraid of everything and then quite boisterous and a little unpredictable. Then came the first bite and another and more followed.
Over the past couple of weeks, I consulted two vets and an animal behaviorist. They all said the same thing; that he shouldn’t be re-homed, that training was unlikely to help and that his problem might be neurological.
Finally I spoke to an animal psychic and he “spoke” through her. Here are the notes I took:
He says there’s an imbalance in his brain which is not fixable – which makes it so he can’t be happy.
He’s breathing a sigh of relief. Loving savior.
Oddity in his brain – born this way – something related to oxygen.
He says thank you.
He will fly free now – as, he says, “dog” was a failed experiment.
He wants me to free him because “I” (Cooper) can’t be fixed.
He passed peacefully, taking a piece of my heart with him.
