I was thinking today of the world I live in. In my lifetime, I’ve seen the introduction of the internet. The entrance and exit of the fax machine. The introduction of mobile phones and their evolution into pocket computers. I’ve seen records turn into cassettes, then CDs and then finally into digital media. Cinema has not only come to our homes…it’s on our phone or tablets. There’s social media (for better or worse). The birth and mainstreaming of electric vehicles. And of course most recently the explosion of accessible, understandable and practical AI.

Of course I’m leaving out so much in the medical or manufacturing sectors, robotics, smart homes, smart cars and neuroscience. It’s almost too much to comprehend…until you’re out on a walk, thinking about the things that you’ve seen in your lifetime.
