…ask ourselves how we could have ever allowed the current Trump administration to happen.

I believe we are the proverbial frog in the water. Even as shocked as we are with the daily onslaught of broken norms, we still can’t quite see that our democracy itself is in danger. Not because of the Chinese, or the Russians (well maybe the Russians) but because the leader of the free world is a petty, ratings hungry child who likes to blow sh!t up.

This election isn’t a question of whether Joe Biden is the perfect presidential candidate. Spoiler Alert: he’s not. But he’s a great person to take the first step in getting the right things – our institutions for example – back to normal. It’s already too late to avoid 20-30 years of a now conservative Supreme Court. But we can perhaps avoid irreparable damage to the country. Once we halt that slippery slide, then we can rebuild using the ideals of AOC and Bernie, the Green New Deal, Universal income and healthcare…maybe it’ll be Joe at the helm…or maybe Kamala.

• To not vote this November is lunacy.
• To vote Republican IMHO is almost as bad…but your right if you so choose.
• To vote for Joe and Kamala is a vote for hope, normalcy and a return to all that is good.

SO VOTE. Tell your friends and family to vote. Tell them they MUST vote…it’s their duty.

And if it all goes to hell, I’m dusting off my Canadian passport, because it will simply be heartbreaking to watch things fall apart even more than they already have.
