From Chaos…Finding Zen.

This morning, I woke up at 6am and checked the news. Just before 7am, I did yoga and immediately afterwards gave myself a pedicure on the balcony. Following the pedicure, I washed the windows.

Life is good.

While others may feel stress being forced to stay at home, for me it’s a relief. Not commuting 72 miles back and forth to work; driving up and down the Peninsula is heaven.  Hours in the car each day have vanished, replaced with time to think, time to work but most importantly to live a normal life. I’m lucky mind you, I have great neighbors in my building and dogs that come and go as they please between apartments.

This quiet time has caused a surge of creativity. I’ve been baking (and giving it all away), cooking more, going on long walks, doing calisthenics (try #Crockfit for only $1), taking Master Classes (strongly recommend), learning the ukulele (plinky plinky) and even dipping my toes into the world of TikTok as so many other seem to be doing as well. It’s also meant (for me) a much more social time with many, many Zoom Happy Hours, parties and the likes.

So as we start to ponder re-opening offices again, many of you will be excited. I unfortunately will be a little sad to say goodbye to this sense of relative normalcy. Of course I will try to cling to as much of it as I can but I fear its all too easy for things to be swallowed up by the daily grind.

#PostiveThinking! #FingersCrossed #ClingToIt!
